Stepwise Bass Motion: Descending Sequences with 4/2-6 figures

As we have seen earlier, the motion from a 4/2 to a 6 chord with a descending second in the bass is very common and very useful in Baroque counterpoint.

We will now start practicing this motion as it becomes a sequence:
